Introduction to Java

Java programming language was introduced in 1991 by Sun Microsystems. But now owns by Oracle. From their is the most popular programming language in the world. Reasons for popularity of java are,

3. Java is Platform Independent Language(Java programs can run in every OS)

Then Java is Case sensitive language So we have keep attend on Upper case and lower case letters when programming.

How Java language operates

All the source codes are written in .java extension after that they are compiled into .class Extension. There is a program in Java for Compiling called Java complier. In .class files we cannot see source codes because it converts into byte codes after compiling. Then .class file prepared as computer can understand by JVM(Java virtual machine).From this it make the program that can understand we using platform. Specialty of the JVM is It can make the program works for Windows, Unix, Linux, Mac OS.
